If you have been searching for warm, unhurried sewing classes in Subang Jaya, you are in the right place. Two Moles is a small sewing studio in the heart of SS16, where people of every age come to slow down, work with their hands, and make something lovely. Whether you have never threaded a needle or you are ready to sew your own clothes, this guide walks you through how our classes work, what you will learn, and how to join.
Why learn to sew at Two Moles?
We are not a big, rushed workshop. We are a calm little studio built around one idea: that sewing should feel joyful and personal. Here is what that means for you as a student:
- Tiny classes. We cap each class at five students, so you always have patient, one-on-one guidance.
- All ages, all levels. Absolute beginners are genuinely welcome. No experience is needed, and you will never feel rushed.
- Learn at your own pace. We start from the very basics of hand and machine sewing and build from there, step by step.
- A real family craft. Two Moles carries on a four-decade tailoring legacy that began with Shanghai Tailors in Kuala Pilah. You can read our story here.
- A weekly reset. Many of our students describe class as the most relaxing few hours of their week — screen-free, hands-on, and quietly therapeutic.
Sewing classes for every level
Whatever stage you are at, there is a class that fits. Our classes run from a single taster session right up to expert traditional tailoring:
- Brand new to sewing? Start with our Introduction: Easy Sewing for Beginners (RM195). It is a gentle first taste where you learn essential hand and machine stitches and sew your first drawstring pouch. A full sewing kit is provided for this class.
- Ready to build real skills? The Get Started Sewing package (RM595) takes you across five sessions and three to four projects — bags, pouches, scrunchies, a tote and more.
- Want to make clothes? Our beginner dressmaking package guides you through your first wearable garment, like palazzo pants or a skirt.
- Fancy decorative stitching? Try our embroidery classes, where you learn hand embroidery alongside sewing.
- Already confident? Intermediate, advanced and expert classes take you all the way to dresses, blouses and traditional pieces such as baju kurung, baju kebaya and cheongsam.
You can browse all our sewing classes and packages here. Not sure which level is right for you? That is completely normal — message us and we will help you choose.
What will I make?
Half the joy of sewing is walking out holding something you made yourself. Depending on the class you choose, your projects might include:
- Drawstring pouches, zipper pouches and wallets
- Tote bags, laptop bags and bucket hats
- Scrunchies, cushions and plushies
- Palazzo pants, shorts, skirts and dresses
- Embroidered pieces, if you would like to add decorative stitching
You choose your own fabrics, colours and trimmings, so every piece is truly yours.
Do I need my own sewing machine or supplies?
No — you are welcome to just turn up. We have sewing machines at the studio for you to use during class. For most packages you will need a basic sewing kit (scissors, pins, measuring tape and so on); you are welcome to bring your own, or pick up our ready-made Sewing Kit Set (RM165). For the Introduction class, the kit is provided for you.
